Ranginang. Rengginang or ranginang is a kind of Indonesian thick rice cracker, made from cooked glutinous sticky rice and seasoned with spices, made into a flat and rounded shape, and then sun-dried. The sun-dried rengginang is deep fried with ample cooking oil to produce a crispy rice cracker. This cracker is quite different from other types of traditional Asian crackers such as the Indonesian krupuk.
Thou I translated into glutinous rice crispy, it doesn't have the same texture and taste as the North American rice crispy square which is chewy (due to marshmallow added) and sweet. - Setelah itu kukus kembali stngh jam & kecil kan kompor, ambil semangkuk ketan yg td di kukus lalu kita cetak (bisa mnggunakan tatakan gelas plastik),ketan yg sudah di cetak letakan di baki (nampan/tampah), lakukan spt itu sampai ketan yg di kukus habis, setelah itu jemur sampai kering..
- Pada wkt mencetak ambil air dingin di mangkuk gunanya cetakan hrs kita olesi air sblm ketan itu di cetak agar tidak menempel & dgn menggunakan garpu kita ratakan ketan nya di cetakan & garpu nya pun taruh dlm mangkuk yg di isi air bila selesai meratakan ketan ny, lakukan spt itu sampai ketan yg di kukus habis..
- Saat kita mencetak kita mengambil ketan nya sedikit" dari panci nya krn kalau kita angkat smua ketan itu akan cpt mengeras & tidak bisa di cetak, selamat mencoba..
